Pinecone Treats

Made something fun for a ladies get together at church. They were a big hit. Check out the video below for a tutorial.

The recipe I used:

1 cup peanut butter (mine was all natural, it worked fine, despite the fact that it is more runny than traditional peanut butter)
1/2 cup Nutella
1 cup powdered sugar
mix all ingredients together, set aside.
4 pretzel rods broken into 3 or 4 equal parts (depending on how tall you want them)
1 box chocolate chex. It's mixed with original chex, so pour the entire box of cereal into a bowl, and pull out the chocolate squares as you go. Broken squares are perfect for the top of the pinecone for tapering.
Mold the peanut butter mixture around the pretzel piece into an inverted cone shape.
Place the chocolate chex around the base, and alternate placement of squares as you work your way to the top.
Dust with sifted powdered sugar for snow effect.
wow your friends.
*Makes 12 pinecones.
