Trial Run

Something you might want to consider when moving to a new place is proximity. If you think you're pretty serious about buying/renting somewhere new do a few trial runs. Leave the driveway and head to work at a typical time of day that this might occur. You'll be making that trip quite a bit if you decide to move and sometimes an extra 15 min in one direction can make or break a location change. We lived 5 miles from a place where my husband was working but because you had to take a road that always had heavy traffic it took him about 20 min to get to and from work. Longer if he left during rush hour. Mileage is not always the best indicator of travel time. The same could be true for grocery stores, and gas stations in the area so do a few trial runs to see how long it really takes to get from point A to B.
